Mr. Gordonsky

Budapest was the third city made in the Spy map series & we celebrate the 10th edition this year!! Around 6 editions back I realised that Budapest city life had such a dividing line between summer & winter. A few ideas were toyed with how to compile the map which would be used for a whole year.. when there were really two quite different cities to be shown... "the city in summer explodes outdoors" I would write.. Much of it had to do with the weather.. nice & sunny usually.. then the by now infamous "Sziget festival" gave many people the idea to make party bars in tents & in/on any piece of spare ground they found.. hence the 'ruin pubs & 'Kerts=Gardens (Szimpla & West Balkan being the origionals) .. the thermal baths too are/were very important relaxants to help people into that "beach vibe" right there in town.!.. add to that an amount of crazy sexy locals.. Anyways the point is, it was plain to me that I wanted to do more with info sourcing, gathering & offering to the people interested to spend time here..

Nedda
the Budapest Spy

Nedda got into the travelling scene while working in one of the oldest hostels of Budapest, the famous and famously crazy Station Guesthouse (†2006, still alive in our memories). After living in London for 5 years and discovering some farther parts of the world, too, she now moved back to her beloved city. She might be on the road again some time but until then she's here to look and see and know and try and enjoy and tell you all about it, so you can GET INVOLVED!!!!!

(You could easily run into her in the Budapest night, she's out there, taking her job very seriously.)
